Biography
Hello world! My name is Cristina Leceta and I am a creative developer.
I came into this world in 1987 (the same year as Adobe Illustrator, what a coincidence!). I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. My first encounter with computers was shortly after, in the early 90s, with an Amstrad running AMSDOS, floppy disks, and no graphical interface.
I studied Art in high school in Alcalá de Henares, with electives in Computer-Aided Design and Photography. This decision foreshadowed my future career.
I then studied Fine Arts and Design at the School of Art in Guadalajara, specializing in Advertising Graphics. There, I had my first experience with web design (soon after, I taught a course on web page creation in HTML & CSS). I graduated in Graphics in early 2010.
I have over ten years of experience in graphic, advertising, and corporate design.
As soon as I finished my Graphics studies, I started working at an advertising agency as a graphic designer, where I also handled tasks related to graphic arts: final art preparation, printing (both small and large format), binding, laminating, and other types of manual finishing.
I am based in Oviedo (Asturias, Spain).
In 2011, I moved to Asturias and studied Artistic Photography at the School of Art in Oviedo. Although I couldn't complete the course, I gained valuable knowledge to complement my graphic and advertising work.
I embarked on a new profession as a digital manager.
A year later, I delved into the digital world with remote work. I started using social media for commercial purposes, which would soon be known as Community Management. I complemented this with Wordpress and began using it regularly.
After that, I began working for an advertising agency in Gijón as a web designer, enjoying the pleasure of greeting the sea every morning! It was then that I realized I needed to master web logic, not just the facade.
In 2017, I started studying Web Application Development remotely at La Laboral (Gijón). I completed my module at CIFP Avilés, where I also trained in Multiplatform Application Development.
What you are seeing here was my final project for Web Application Development, built with Laravel.
I am also a web developer.
For a couple of years, I worked as a freelance graphic designer and web developer providing comprehensive solutions for businesses and professionals to create or improve their digital image and online presence. I also supported agencies and other professionals in delivering projects they couldn\t handle due to deadlines or workload.
Currently, I am part of the All Around team, where we collaborate on innovative projects to help our clients achieve their digital goals.
